Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-18 · Effective from 2026-05-18
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses the OrderBrain Service — Customer staff, operators, and any callers interacting with the Service.
1. Permitted uses
- Taking phone orders for a real, operating UK restaurant
- Booking reservations and managing a waitlist
- Answering allergen questions from the menu schema you've uploaded
- Reviewing your own dashboard, transcripts, sentiment data and audit log
- Exporting your data for record-keeping or migration
2. Prohibited uses
You must not use the Service to:
- Place fraudulent orders, fraudulent reservations, or otherwise misrepresent yourself or another person
- Pretend OrderBrain's phone agent is anything other than an automated system once a caller asks (the consent phrase explicitly notes the call may be recorded; on direct question we expect operators to be honest about the technology)
- Provide knowingly inaccurate allergen data into the schema (this directly jeopardises caller safety under Natasha's Law and we will suspend the account)
- Use the Service to call numbers that have opted out of receiving calls, or to send unsolicited SMS / outbound calls beyond the order- and reservation-confirmation flows the Service is designed for
- Attempt to circumvent authentication, rate limits, or other security measures
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying AI models, voice personas, or any non-public OrderBrain technology
- Use the Service to violate UK law (consumer protection, advertising standards, data protection, financial services, food safety)
- Re-sell the Service to a third party without our prior written consent (this is different from operating the Service for a restaurant group of which you are part)
- Use the Service in a way that imposes a disproportionate load on our infrastructure (e.g. automated synthetic load testing without notice)
3. Content standards
Any content you upload — including menu items, descriptions, allergen data, custom voice prompts, and operator notes — must:
- Be accurate and not misleading
- Not infringe third-party intellectual property
- Not include language that is unlawful (defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, obscene) or contrary to UK advertising standards
4. Voice persona use
On the Group tier you may configure a branded voice persona. You confirm that:
- Where you supply a voice sample for cloning, you own or have a written licence to that voice
- You will not use a voice that imitates a celebrity, real-world business contact, or other identifiable individual without their explicit consent
5. Reporting abuse
If you believe the Service is being misused — for example, a caller is receiving calls they did not consent to, or you suspect another Customer is acting in breach of this AUP — please contact us at abuse@orderbrain.ai. We aim to acknowledge within 1 business day.
6. Enforcement
We may, with notice where practicable, suspend or terminate use of the Service for breach of this AUP. For breaches that pose an immediate risk to data, security, or caller safety, we may suspend without prior notice and notify you immediately after.
Suspension is recorded in our super-admin audit log with the reason, the actor, and the timestamp. You will receive a copy of that record on request.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. The last-updated date at the top of the page is authoritative. Material changes will be notified to Customer staff by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
